Ultimate Stocking Fillers! *** Pafetik Books Launched!!!***

14/12/2010 21:20

If you’re looking for a stocking filler this Christmas then look no further than your leg. No, sorry, that was just an ikkle parrot joke which I simply couldn’t quite resist. What I actually meant to say was: look no further than your local bookshop which should hopefully be (Christmas) stocking two newly released books about yours truly. First off, there’s a fascinating, if inaccurate, book by Professor Lazlo Kroller. The official press release says:

‘Images: The Works of Pafetik Parrot’ is a comprehensive academic appreciation of Pafetik Parrot’s work and career thus far, written by Lazlo Kroller, Professor of Art History at the University of Bumbleton. A weighty tome which at times can seem somewhat inaccessible, Kroller’s latest book is nevertheless worth making the effort to read, as it not only explores the genesis of Pafetik’s artistic genius but also offers a unique insight into the influences and inspirations which have seen the multi-talented parrot rise from obscurity in a dark corner somewhere in Worksop to become a highly-regarded artikist of worldwide fame and renown. Illustrated throughout, “Images: The Works of Pafetik Parrot” is available now in all good junk shops at a cost of £14.99.

Also released this week, just in time for the Christmas rush, is my very own book, ‘Pafetik: Collection’. In contrast to Kroller’s offering, this lavish large-format book consists of 150 glossy pages containing full-colour prints of all my most famous and celebrated works so far. Priced at a very reasonable £35 for the hardback edition and £25 for the paperback, what more could any Pafetik fan possibly want? Well, besides a Pafetik original which he or she could then sell and use the profits to buy an island in the Caribbean with. Which reminds me, I’ll be appearing in several locations over the Christmas period signing copies of my book, so if you want to come along and get your very own signed copy (a sure-fire investment if ever there was one!), you can find me at one of the venues listed below.

December 28th            Brimstones Bookstore, Puddleby

December 29th            J. H. Wibble, Skessington

Well that’s all from me for now. Have a very happy Christmas and an at least half-decent New Year and I’ll see you again very soon.
