Pafetik Parrot seeks to both delight and confuse audiences by merging the ostentatious with the pretentious. His work embraces many different styles of claptrap, being fashioned in an unusual combination of materials ranging from the inane to the mundane. His unique style exploits the collision of cultures prevalent in modern urban life, revelling in the rich textures and timeless expressions of the social justification of all things pointless.

Nonsense over meaning

In an age when all who know nothing think that they know everything and in which the majority fail to understand that the very essence of understanding is so often misunderstood, he strives to illustrate the futility of existence by forcing his audience to confront the inevitable fact that all things meaningless and mediocre are, in fact, neither especially interesting or of any particular value.

Pafetik's unique and award-winning talents have been recognised across the globe and he is, without doubt, one of the greatest artikists of all time. In his own words: "I'm good at EVERYFING. Everybody likes my pictures. I like them too. I also like creating them and I LOVE my mummy and my daddy to whom I dedicate this site. Guh-mwuh!"

Somewhere between ignorance and enlightenment lies enlightenorance. This, Pafetik believes, is the only true form of pure truth and, less importantly, holds the key to every conceivable answer to any possible question. Only by realising that within all possibilities there lies little or no choice can we ever truly hope to finally be free of the illusion of freedom which binds us to the ineffectual and blinds us to the inevitable.

 

By rejecting all forms of everything, Pafetik challenges his audience to reconsider the very meaning of meaning and purposefully deconstructs the structure of all things structured. The enormity of his vision can only be fully appreciated by failing to consider the lack of thought or skill which went into its creation in the first place and by wilfully suppressing the universal and powerful urge to dismiss the entire concept as a load of old rubbish unworthy of an orang-utan with a crayon. Indeed, only by experiencing the inner struggle and turmoil inherent in convincing oneself that something so blatantly useless is, in fact, of inestimable value can one ever truly be said to have experienced art in its purest form.
